The NZHPT has 24 branches throughout New Zealand, each of which has a Branch Committee elected by the NZHPT’s membership in their geographic area.

Branches work closely with the NZHPT’s Area Managers and Area Coordinators and the community to raise awareness of heritage issues as well as provide opportunities for participation in heritage-related activities in their area.
