Wheelchair access Disabled visitors in wheelchairs can easily
access the ground floor and garden area of Alberton. Drivers with disabled visitors
are welcome to drive into the parking area, at the front entrance of Alberton,
and set their passengers down. The disabled entry is to the right of the main
entrance via the kitchen area. How to get to AlbertonAlberton
is very centrally located at 100 Mt Albert Road, Mt Albert. By car Just
ten minutes from downtown Auckland via the North Western motorway. Take the motorway
off ramp at Western Springs and travel along St Lukes Road, turn right into New
North Road, left into Mt Albert Road and look for the sign at the corner of Kerr
Taylor Avenue/100 Mt Albert Road. Access into Alberton is from Kerr Taylor Avenue.
Parking. There is no parking in the grounds at Alberton, though there is plenty
of parking nearby in Kerr Taylor Avenue or Mt Albert Road.
By bus
There are regular bus connections from downtown Auckland to/from a bus stop within
walking distance of Alberton. The best connection is via Stagecoach's bus route
number 233. The 233 service operates approximately every 20 minutes. The service
departs from Victoria Street East, Bus stop M5, outside Whitcoulls. Alight at
185 Mt Albert Road, the bus stop prior to the intersection of Mt Albert Road and
Owairaka Avenue and walk back to Alberton (5 mins). By train
Use the Western Line railway connection from the Britomart Station in Central
Auckland or join at a stop along the route eg Newmarket or Kingsland. The train
trip takes approximately 25 minutes. During the day the train stops or departs
from the Mt Albert Station every 20-40 minutes. From the station cross to Mt Albert
Road and enjoy the 15 minute stroll to Alberton. For further details on

Alberton is a smoke-free zone and the wearing of stiletto
heels in the house is not permitted.
