Visit New Zealand's Heritage Sites

The New Zealand Historic Places Trust manages a large number of heritage buildings and sites around New Zealand, many of which are open to the public.

Members are admitted free to all Trust properties during normal opening times, but in certain cases (eg. when a special event is being held) a small surcharge may apply. If in doubt, please telephone the property to check.

Trust Members should always carry their membership cards, as free admission cannot be given without them.

Opening times and days vary considerably between properties, so please read the relevant information carefully or telephone the property in advance to be sure. The Historic Places Trust reserves the right to amend opening arrangements at any time, should this prove necessary.

All members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust are also entitled to free entry to hundreds of overseas heritage sites.
